Worker Rights

Your employer pays for your access to Trade Health. What happens after you log in is between you and your provider.

Last updated: September 1, 2026 (draft — pending legal review)

The short version

Trade Health separates two things on purpose: the business relationship your employer has with us (paying for your access, keeping the roster current), and the clinical relationship you have with your provider. Your employer sits on one side of that line. They never see the other.

What your employer can and cannot see

Can see

  • Whether you're enrolled and active on the plan
  • Your name and work email, as provided at enrollment
  • Aggregate billing tied to headcount

Cannot see

  • Whether you've had a visit, or when
  • Any diagnosis, treatment note, or prescription
  • Video, chat, or messages with your provider
  • Any reason you sought care

Your HIPAA rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and get a copy of your medical records
  • Request a correction if something in your record is wrong
  • Get an accounting of who your information has been disclosed to
  • Request confidential communication (for example, a preferred phone number or email)
  • File a complaint if you believe your rights have been violated, without retaliation from your employer or Trade Health

How to raise a concern

If you believe your employer has accessed information they shouldn’t have, or you have any other concern about how your information is handled, contact us at privacy@tradehealthnetwork.com. You can also file a complaint directly with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Office for Civil Rights at hhs.gov/hipaa/filing-a-complaint.
